Meet Registered Dietitian, Heather Borders, RD, LDN
Welcome! Thank you for stopping by. I help individuals tackle cardiometabolic challenges—like elevated lipids and insulin resistance—through practical lifestyle nutrition and culinary wellness.
About Me.
My story isn’t typical. I began as an engineer—working for NASA and later as a product manager in the medical-device industry—before I answered a stronger calling. That calling emerged when my husband and I used food, flavor, and lifestyle change to transform his cholesterol and triglycerides in dramatic fashion.

Where Lifestyle Medicine Meets Lipids & Lasting Change
After witnessing how food dramatically transformed my husband’s cholesterol, I became a self-proclaimed lipid nerd. That experience cemented my belief that nutrition, when applied strategically, can be as powerful as medication.
I went back to school to become a Registered Dietitian and started teaching cooking classes, showing people that healthy food doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to taste good and work for your life.

Today, my work centers around helping people translate complex lab results into simple, sustainable habits that protect the heart and restore metabolic balance.
